I agree, Wynter is an unusual name. I didn’t care for it as a child, but I have really grown to love and appreciate it over time. People always want to know how my parents decided on the name, Wynter. They fire off a series of questions like “Were you born in the winter?” and “Were your parents hippies?” Actually, I was born in the scorching month of August and to my knowledge, my parents weren’t considered hippies. They usually start teasing me with comments like, “Is your middle name Summer?” Although I know they are only teasing me, I admit that I enjoy seeing their reaction when I tell them that my middle name is actually Mae. They start laughing as if I’m playing along with their jokes, “Wynter MAE!?!? Haha… now that’s a good one!” I’m glad they walk away from the conversation thinking I have such a great sense of humor, but I promise it’s true.
A few more things you may (or may not) find interesting about me is that I have lived in Birmingham almost all my life. I am an only child. I have two precious children who are my biggest fans and the motivation behind all that I do. My right ear looks completely different than my left ear. I have a fear of snakes. My favorite colors are blue, green and orange. I am addicted to caffeine and 80% of my diet consist of chips, cheese and salsa.
I am committed to Christ, my family, and to my clients. To me, being a photographer is the greatest occupation in the world. I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and document the happiest moments in their lives with my camera. For this, I am very thankful.
