The Family of Amanda Pair

Fellow photographer and friend, Amanda Pair, requested that I take photos of her with the people she loves the most… her family. She purchased a gift certificate with me for her family last Christmas. She was so excited to finally cash it in! I met them on The Bradley Farm. (Thank you Mr. Bradley for always being so generous in allowing me use your beautiful property!)

Although it was extremely hot and humid, no one complained. Not once. They were all smiles and once again I was reminded why I love my job so much! It’s not always the “photography” itself, but it’s the people in the photos that make it so enjoyable. I walked away from this session feeling like a part of the family. Amanda, thank you for trusting me to capture these special moments for you. I hope you cherish your photos for a life time.

Meet the family of Amanda Pair.

This is Amanda’s mother, Deb, and her husband, Allen.

This is Matt, Amanda’s one and only sibling. They are just precious together! (They remind me of my own two children… in 20 years!)

Matt is so proud of his little sis and they share a great friendship!

Amanda with her hubby, Allen.

You know, this photo reminds me of one of my all time favorite children books, “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch. I have read this book to my children over and over through out the years. When I see this photo of Matt with his mother all I can think is…

“I’ll love you forever,

I’ll like you for always,

As long as I’m living

my baby you’ll be.”

Meet Doug, Amanda’s father.

I noticed something in this photo. Amanda looks like a young girl here. Probably the way her father still sees her and always will, as his little girl.

Doug with his wife, Shelia.

I absolutely love the mischevious grin from these two here!

In the life of a photographer, You are so busy documenting the lives of others that you seldom take the time to document your own. I’m pretty sure that Allen and Amanda haven’t had a significant amount of time in front of the camera together since their wedding day. I know they will appreciate these photos.

I love these last two photos the most. Allen and Amanda are a great couple and I think these two photos represent just that. I love how Amanda is holding on to Allen’s arm in both photos. In the photo to the left it is very clear that they are both very confidant and and comfortable with one another. In the photo to the right, it is very evident that Allen is smitten with his wife and not only is she aware of it, but she loves him for it.

  13. Even with the heat and humidity, sweat and frizzy hair, the time we spent with you that day was a blast… I never knew we could have so much fun in front of a camera. You made us feel so comfortable just being ourselves that the camera was almost invisable. (I’m amazed and impressed that you were able to catch Matt, Doug, and Allen W. smiling!) I love, love, love the photos and am excited to see all the others. This was the best Christmas gift EVER!
